Yokai teardrops in Nioh 3 are these items used to purchase stuff from a Sudama vendor in Eternal Rift. He sells lots of useful items, but he also sells warrior, samurai, and ninja memorandums, which increase your skill capacity. But you will need a lot of Yokai drops to be able to buy all of his stock.
But to buy these valuable items you need a lot of Yokai teardrops. There are multiple methods through which you can get Yokai drops and farm them to get what you want from Sudama.

How to Get More Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3
There are five primary ways to farm Yokai Teardrops, and these are the confirmed ones that will give you the maximum drops. These are:
- First time Interaction with Hot Springs
- Finish Battle Scroll Missions
- Kappa Yokai Farming
- Scampuss Chases
- Increase Your Luck
- Take Out Crucible Wraiths
- Clear Crucible Spikes and Lesser Crucibles
- Complete Side Quests aka Myths
First time Interaction with Hot Springs
There is a total 26 Hot spring locations throughout the map in Nioh 3. Every first interaction with these hot springs will give you Yokai Teardrops. But this farming method is slow as there are only 26 of them not a huge amount of Yokai is expected from these hot springs. However, Hot Spring are great for early game collection of Yokai Teardrops to build your character.
Finish Battle Scroll Missions
Another source of Yokai Teardrop comes from completing battle scroll missions. From the battle scroll you can choose any of the quest or side quest of your choice and recommended level. On the completion of these battles scroll missions you get Yokai Teardrop as rewards.

Kappa Yokai Farming
The best Yokai Teardrops farming method is farming them from Kappa Yokai. These Kappa Yokai are turtle like spirits that you will encounter all across the map. Unfortunately, they don’t spawn consistently at the same location again.

But there is a location where you can farm Yokai Teardrops repeatedly by killing kappa and making a farming loop of teardrops. Go to Forest of soul shrine by using fast travel in the Tokaido region. From there go south passing some enemies and you will see a pond Infront of you. In the middle of the pond is the Kappa Yokai.

Scampuss Chases
Scampus Chasses refers to your interaction with Scampuss, which is a round catlike creature and is friendly too. When you interact with it these creatures lead you to hidden items or location where you can get Yokai Teardrops as reward. Not one of the great ways to get more Yokai Teardrops but something is better than nothing they say.
You can pet Scampusses once you catch them to get either Ninja’s Locks or Samurai’s Locks. So there is more to catching them than just getting Yokai Teardrops.

Increase Your Luck
Finally, to ensure that Yokai Teardrop drop rate is increased you need to increase your luck. Well in Nioh 3, wearing certain equipment can increase Luck. Items that increase your luck are:
- Scampuss Soul Core
- Kappa Soul Core to increase item drop rate

Use them both to increase Yokai Teardrop rate in Nioh 3.
Take Out Crucible Wraiths
Crucible Wraiths (elite yokai with a red aura) frequently drop Yokai Teardrops. Clearing these tougher enemies in each region is a reliable farming method. You can find plenty of Wraiths during exploration and even some side quests.
Clear Crucible Spikes and Lesser Crucibles

Bringing down the enemies at these keyed locations not only progresses exploration but also yields Yokai Teardrops as part of the rewards. So whenever you come across these make sure to clear them.
By fully clearing these areas, you can earn:
- Yokai Teardrops
- Rare crafting materials
- High-quality gear
Complete Side Quests aka Myths
Certain side missions reward Yokai Teardrops upon completion, especially those focused on Yokai lore or high-difficulty encounters. Myths will often lead to elite enemies that can drop Yokai Teardrops but the drops are often part the mission rewards pool. Always check mission rewards before skipping optional content.
