Crimson Dessert is based on the story of a lost warrior Kliff of the Greymanes who lost the battle to Black Bears in an ambush. This ambush is the prologue of the game Crimson Dessert. The story blends in the narrative of reuniting all of his companions to take revenge. Right after the prologue and the learning part your first task will be finding the Alchemist by using the traces left behind.
The quest starts after you read the letter from a woman whom you rescued in the basement. You can easily access the letter from your inventory.

- Location Of the Quest: Once you read the letter the quest location is updated on the map by a red marker from where you can easily follow the path.
How to Find Alchemist’s Traces in Crimson Desert
After you read the letter given to you by the women, that says
Find the door to the providence
in the place where banquet is held
I shall wait for you
beyond the grand door.
The location of the Alchemist Trace’s is updated on the map. Now select the marker on the map and just follow the path. Make sure you have Hernand entry permit so you can enter the Hernand castle.
Follow the path untill you reach the entrance of the Hernand Castle. Before entering the castle make sure to disguise yourself as Hernandian Banquet Attire. You can change your appearance from the armor tab.
Enter through the main gate and go straight ahead. While following the path you will go through further two smaller gates where you need to have the permit, without it you won’t be able to go through.
From the second entrance point head right towards the stairs. At the end of the stairs turn right into the hall area where you have to find the Alchemist room in Crimson Dessert. The alchemist room will be in the extreme left corner of the hall, enter it.
Upon entering the Alchemist room, you will find out that no one is there. Look around the room to search for any further clues. While searching around in the room you will find a hidden passage by open the chest in the room. Enter the glowing door that appears on the wall. After a small cutscene you will reach Library of providence Infront of you. Walk towards the dome shape building where you will find Alustin the Alchemist in it.
Additionally, when you complete the dialogues with him and the witch you will acquire the knowledge of crow wings here as well.
