Iron Ore is a crafting material in Crimson Desert, and it is used to refine your gear at the Blacksmith. Iron Ore helps upgrade weapons, gear, craft armor plates, and metal shields. Iron Ore is a basic mineral resource mined from specific nodes across Pywel.

Iron Ore Locations in Crimson Desert
The best region to farm Iron Ore is Hernand. It is a mountainous region with a ton of Iron deposits you can mine to get Iron Ore in Crimson Desert. You can find Iron deposits around cliffs and mountains in Hernand.

Tip: Vendors like Cairn House (north of Hernand) sell 7 Iron Ore; Howling Hill camp vendor stocks 30+ as you level the camp.
Before you can start mining Iron in Crimson Desert you need to complete Rhett’s Request (Hernand Commissions – Tales of the Hernandian Merchants). This quest unlocks mining which then lets you mine Iron and other resources.
Another thing you need to do is get the Pickaxe but Rhett provides it during the quest which means there are no extra steps to this. Look for metallic dark-gray/onyx black rocks with a silver sheen on cliff faces, rock crevices, or mountain walls. They stand out and often bulge from the surface.
Open your equipment wheel (console: hold left D-pad; PC: hold F2 or equivalent).
Aim (LB/L1 or CTRL) and attack the Iron deposit when the circle turns blue. Keep repeating the hits until ore drops to the ground. If you’re on a hill, pick them up quickly because they tent to roll down.
Later on in Crimson Desert when you unlock the Force Palm attack, use it to mine Iron instead of the Pickaxe. The Force Palm attack is a way faster method of mining. Nodes respawn after in-game time (around 7 days for some), so revisit spots during exploration.
Lastly, many of the Iron deposit locations overlap with Copper deposits so look around to find them and mine Copper as well to farm resources faster.
