finding Sulphur in Everwind

Sulphur is one of the most important resource in Everwind. Sulphur in Everwind powers critical progression for your Airship in early and mid game and is used as an energy resource, potions (Fire Resistance), and other crafting items.

The primary way to get Sulphur in Everwind is through mining Sulphur Veins with a pickaxe. So of course, you’ll need to get a pickaxe first. Sulphur, sometimes spelled as Sulfur, is a rare item in Everwind and isn’t available on every island you visit.

Where to Find Sulfur (Sulphur) in Everwind

Sulphur is far more common on floating islands above altitude 500 compared to any place else in the game. You can also find Sulphur veins inside dungeons. Get the Balloon upgrade for your airship first. This lets you reach floating islands above altitude 500.

Floating island have monsters and caves so I recommend bringing yourself some food, weapons, healing items, and a pickaxe to mine Sulfur Veins.

While onboard your flying ship, use a Spyglass to scan for veins from a distance. Sulphur appears as pale greenish-yellow or yellowish stones protruding from rock/vein surfaces (distinct from copper’s orange specks or other ores).

Best Locations to Get Sulfur

Most Islands above 500 altitude, especially Forest, Jungle, Russet Forest, Desert, Savannah, or Steamer/flat surface islands have Sulfur Veins. Head of these locations and look for Sulphur on surfaces, underside, and especially inside caves or giant holes.

Caves and dungeons are the most reliable locations to find Sulfur in Everwind. Jump into ground holes with stone cubes/veins at the entry point, keep heading deeper to find Sulfur Veins embedded in rocks. Take out your pickaxe to mine Sulphur.

Pro Tip: Outer Edges or Floating Island such as sides and bottoms have higher density of ores then center.

Lastly, Sulphur Veins also show up in biomes like Rotten areas at different altitudes.

Once you find a mineable Sulphur Vein keep hitting it with your pickaxe keep hitting it until Sulphur drops. Keep repeating this process across multiple Sulphur locations to farm it in Everwind.

For Flying Ship upgrades you only need a handful of Sulphur but you’ll more for potions and crafting to get as much as you can on mining runs. Most new players make the mistake of searching for Sulphur below 500 altitude, avoid doing this because you’ll hardly find any.
