The main goal of running a successful Gas Station is earning has much Buckeroo aka money in Roadside Research. The primary way to do this is selling fuel (among other things). However, the more fuel you sell the less you’ll have left. Just like in real life, you’ll have to refuel your fuel tanks.
Gas Tanks is Roadside Research empty fast which means one busy day and your 87/89/93/Diesel tanks run dry. This would result in turning customers away, tanking your Gas Station rating, and worse case is a spike in suspicion. While there are ways to deal with suspicion, it is best not to let things get to that point.
Refilling keeps the money flowing and agents away. You refuel using jerry cans ordered from the shop and delivered by the (totally normal) truck.
How to Refuel Gas Pump Station
The first step is to actually order the fuel. Go to the ordering terminal in the back room. Select Shop and filter by Fuel at the top. Buy Jerry Cans (one type per can): 87, 89, 93, or Diesel and confirm your order. You won’t have to wait long as the truck will arrive soon.
The fuel tanks run out fast so having at least two of every gas pump is good way to call a delivery when you start to run out. Having excess inventory of everything at the Gas Station is the best way to run a successful Alien research operation.
Now to the refueling part, pick up the gas can and go to the pump. Approach the pump with the can in hand and press the left mouse button to refuel the gas station. When the can is empty you can throw in the ground or keep things clean and put it in the trash.
There are four types of gas in Roadside Research and is priced differently:
- Jerry Can 87 – $26.64
- Jerry Can 89 – $24.84
- Jerry Can 93 – $29.52
- Jerry Can D (Diesel) – $28.44
How to Fuel Customer Cars
- Take payment first (cash register or direct).
- Grab nozzle from pump.
- Attach to car’s fuel port (side of vehicle). Select fuel type on pump (e.g., yellow 93 button).
- Hold the pump button (finger icon) until green bar hits target amount, overshoot slightly, no penalty.
- Detach nozzle, return to holder.
The customer will have a bubble on their head that shows what kind of gas they require. Put the nozzle in and press the yellow button, stop when the target is met.
