Early in Nioh 3, you will come across a strange item named “Dirty key” when you are exploring Tenryu River. During my time with the game, I had no idea what to do with that key and where to use it. It took me a while to figure out where this “Dirty key” is useful. You get a handful of collectible items behind the locked door in Tenryu River.
I will explain where you can get the Dirty key and where to use that key in Nioh 3.
Where to Find the Dirty Key in Nioh 3
First fast travel to the Prospect Hill and head down to the entrance of a small village in Tenryu River.
Follow down the road and you will reach the entrance of the village. Infront of you there is a wolf shape Yokai boss is patrolling the road.
Well, the fight is inevitable if you want the dirty key as a drop item from him. Fight him in your ninja mode to end his misery quickly.
After defeating Yokai you will get Dirty Key and along with that as reward you will also get:
- Mountain Bandit Hatches
- Elixir
Where to Use the Dirty Key in Nioh 3
Now head left to main entrance of the village or if you have slayed the Yokai then from its right side.
Take the stairs leading to a hut whose front door is locked. To open the locked door of the hut, use Dirty Key by pressing R1.
Rewards
In that hut open the chest to get the following collectible items as loot
- Heir’s Shinobi Waistguard
- Sacred Water
- Heir Loom Waistguard
- Secret Skills Text: Armor Piercer (Pray at a shrine to learn skills)
