Nioh 3: How to Get More Amrita to Level Up Fast

Best Amrita Farming Method

The most important thing that is the lifeblood of your progression in Nioh 3 is Amrita. This is key currency in Nioh 3 that serves as the primary experience point system, allowing you to level up your character, increase core stats, and empower Guardian Spirits at Shrines.

The use of Amrita is consistent throughout the game whether you’re in Warring States or pushing into Heian is late game. I recommend farming Amrita right from the get-go. As I said, Amrita in Nioh 3 is the equivalent of experience points. You spend it at Shrines to level up your character’s stats (Strength, Skill, Constitution, etc.). Because Nioh 3 uses high enemy difficulty and equipment scaling, efficient Amrita farming helps you stay ahead of missions and boss fights.

Farming Amrita is all about stacking bonuses and staying consistent, especially with reset loop methods where you can farm a huge amount depending on how much time you spend farming.

Amrita shows up in Nioh 3 as glowing blue piles dropped by defeated enemies, especially world bosses or they can be found in the overworld near enemy bases, Crucible Spikes, and as boss loot after boss fights.

Pro tip: Make offerings at the shrine with your unwanted loot such as weapons and armor to get Amrita.

Best Amrita Farming Method is Shrine Looping

Amrita farming meta in Nioh 3 right now is shrine resets. Enemies near Shrines respawn when you pray (interact with the Shrine). Kill > Pray > Repeat. Aim for high-value targets (elites/Yokai) you can burst down quickly, ideally via backstabs.

So basically:

  • Fast travel to any Shrine
  • Take out enemies but focus mainly on the elites
  • Pray to reset

With the right buffs you can farm up to 300K Amrita per hour in Nioh 3 looping shrines. Stack with Crucible replays for variety (unlimited via Battle Scrolls at Shrines).

  • Base loop: 3k Amrita / 30s = ~200k/hr (Futamata elite backstab).
  • +Vital Spirit (3 enemies): +12%.
  • +Toyotomi: +5%.
  • +3x Amrita Earned gear (early +8% total).
  • +Kodama: +15%. Total: ~40% boost280k/hr. Add Invigoration/Extraction: 300k+. Late-game gear hits 50-100%+.

Best Nioh 3 Amrita Farming Locations (Early to Mid-Game)

Best Early Game Amrita Farming Spot

During early to mid-game the best Amrita farming comes right before Escape from Hitokoto Slope mission. Keep playing the mission and you will come across the boss room but your target is a Yoki who yields 500 Amrita and 800 if you manage to break its horn. Ranged shots and jump attacks can break its horn which will increase how much Amrita you can earn from Yoki.

Lure the Yoki to the Shrine and keep farming it over and over again until you are good to go. You can reset every time at the Shrine so this process can go on forever. Once you’re done with Amrita farming you can continue to the boss room and defeat the boss who drops even more Amrita for you.

Hamamatsu Castle Town Farming Spot

The second spot for getting more Amrita is the best in my opinion. It is the Crucible inside the Hamamatsu Castle Town. It has a Ippon Datara that is a Yokai that can be trapped into a respawn loop, earning you 1K Amrita per kill. Although it is a harder fight but if you farm the first spot and upgrade your character before entering Hamamatsu Castle Town farming location, you can absolutely cheese this mini boss.

You can farm any of these spots later on in the game as well by replaying the questlines through Battle Scrolls that are also used to farm Yokai Teardrops.
