Asobo Studio, the team behind Plague Tale franchise, is working on a brand new game which could be a new IP. The studio is hiring for an “unannounced project,” and the job listing gives us a few interesting details about the game.
Asobo Studio’s unannounced project is a third-person narrative adventure game, developed by a team with veterans from A Plague Tale: Innocence and Requiem. The game will follow Plague Tale’s linear level design built by small, dedicated multidisciplinary teams.
Levels will have “rhythm[ing] and staging gameplay” with narrative. Overall, fans of Plague Tale should expect to feel right at home with this one. The third-person focus, level-based structure, and emotional stakes suggest another atmospheric AA/AAA game from Asobo.

From what we can tell, the project has been in development for at least 2025. There are some other job listings that can go back to late 2025.
While the new IP is seemingly early in development the main focus of the studio right now is finishing and releasing Plague Tale Legacy. The title is hitting shelves across the globe later this year on consoles and PC. A final release date is yet to be announced.
An announcement for this particular new project might not happen until after the release of A Plague Tale Legacy. No publisher is currently named for the game but it won’t be surprising if this is a Focus Entertainment game, the company behind other similar narrative driven games from Asobo.
