Antique Coins in Resident Evil Requiem are a type of collectible items that you can find all over the map of Rhodes Hill Care Center. But they also serve a purpose in Resident Evil Requiem; they act as a special currency used to unlock permanent upgrades for Grace.
Antique Coins are small metal tokens you can pick up while exploring. The in-game description calls them an “old metal coin used for games” that can be exchanged for prizes.
The coins you pick up as Grace are then used for the following:
- Hip Pouch (3 coins) – Adds extra inventory slots
- Stabilizer (4 coins) – Improves gun handling and firepower
- Steroids (4 coins) – Increases maximum health
- Override Manual (6 coins) – Expands Blood Collector capacity
The upgrades you make with RE Requiem Antique Coins remain for the rest of the playthrough.
There are over 20 Antique Coins in Resident Evil Requiem. However, you only need 17 coins to buy every Parlor upgrade on normal difficulty.
It is important to note that you won’t be able to return to the Care Center after a certain point in the game. So make sure to spend all Antique Coins you can to upgrade Grace before leaving the Care Center.

Where to Use Antique Coins

Using RE Requiem RE Requiem you can buy items like Hip Pouches, Steroids, Override Manuals, and Stabilizers for Grace. This is done through the Coin Cabinet in the Parlor room. Of course, as I said before, you’ll need the Red Jewel to unlock the Parlor room door first.
You cannot return to the Care Center later, so spend your coins in the Parlor before leaving that area or you will miss the upgrades for that playthrough.
