Resident Evil Requiem has a ton of weapons, and each one can be customized one way or the other. Leon’s first weapon, the Alligator Snapper, is a powerful handgun that can be upgraded with items like the Compensator.
The Compensator improves recoil control for Leon’s starting handgun, the Alligator Snapper. It is easy to miss because it is hidden inside a breakable closet shortly after a mini-boss encounter.
Where to Find the Compensator in RE Requiem
The Compensator is inside a Warped Closet in the Care Center. It is in the area adjacent to the Attic Storage.
- Progress through the Care Center while playing as Leon.
- Continue until you encounter and defeat the enemy called Chunk.
- After the fight, go through the nearby locked door that opens as part of the story.
- Immediately look to the right side of the hallway.
- You will see a Warped Closet.
- Use Leon’s Axe to break it open.
- Inside the closet you will find the Compensator weapon attachment.
When you have the Compensator, it attaches to the Alligator Snapper handgun. It will reduce muzzle rise and recoil which makes follow-up shots easier to land. You’ll notice better weapon stability when rapid firing the handgun.
To equip the Compensator, open the inventory and select the Compensator. Combine it with the Alligator Snapper handgun to install it as an attachment. Once it is attached, the pistol becomes easier to control and shot when fighting hordes of zombies.
