Puzzles and Resident Evil games have a long standing relationship, especially, door puzzles. And Resident Evil Requiem does not disappoint in this regard. There is a unique door puzzle in the game known as Moon, Sun, and Star door puzzle.
This is the first major door puzzle you come across in the game and it doesn’t solve right away. You’ll have to play as Grace for a long time inside the Rhodes Hill Care Center and eventually you will end up solving the puzzle.
In this guide, I’ll help you solve the Resident Evil Requiem Moon, Sun, and Star door puzzle in the Rhodes Hill Care Center to unlock the Rhodes Hill Central Hall door. To solve this puzzle you must find the Moon, Sun, and Star Quartz in RE Requiem.
Moon, Sun, and Star puzzle boxes are found in Chairman Mitchell Bennett, Lead Researcher Anthony Richardson, and Security Manager Luke Clarke’s offices respentively.
How to Get the Moon Quartz in RE Requiem
Go to the Medication Room and pick up the West Wing Keycard.
The Moon Quartz is found inside the Chairman’s Office in the West Wing. It is locked behind a safe that requires you to solve another small puzzle. The solution to the puzzle inside the Chairman’s Office is Moon, Sun, Star, Moon. Take the pencil from the Chairman’s desk and come back to the main room where the coffee table is in the middle of the room.
Open the notebook and use the pencil to reveal the puzzle solution.
In the Chairman’s Office you find the puzzle cabinet with four buttons, representing four slots where you need to input the aforementioned solution.
The correct input will unlock the safe, revealing the Moon Quartz.
How to Get the Sun Quartz in RE Requiem
Go to the East Wing and head upstairs on the second floor. The first corpse you come across there has the Security Level 1 Keycard, it is to the left of the Lead Researcher’s Office so pick it up. Be careful of the giant Chunk who jump scares when you take the ID Wristband Level 1 from the corpse.
The Sun Quartz is inside the Lead Researcher’s Office. It is the same mechanic that we used in the Chairman’s office. There is a puzzle box in the Lead Researcher’s Office but this one is locked by a pad lock. A note in the Lead Researcher’s Office tells you to ‘get the bottle of corrosive from the conference room and melt the lock off‘.
Open your map, and find the Conference Room. Go to the Conference Room to get the Corrosive Bottle. Pour the bottle on the pad lock of the puzzle box in the Lead Researcher’s Office to open the puzzle box.
The solution is on a couple of photos you will find in the Lead Researcher’s Office.
The solution to the Lead Researcher’s Office puzzle box is:

Inside the puzzle box safe is the Sun Quartz and a notebook that contains the ‘Unlocking the Organ Transport Box Note’
How to Get the Star Quartz in RE Requiem
To get the Star Quartz you need to go to the Custodian’s Office in the West Wing to get the Wrench. The Custodian’s Office can be accessed through the gate that is past the Parlor and Kitchen. Once you have the Wrench, leave the Custodian’s Office and head to the Garage on your left.
At the end of the Garage, you will find the Organ Transport Box sitting at the back of truck. Take the box and exit the Garage, examine the Organ Transport Box and use the ‘Unlock Organ Transport Box’ note from earlier to unlock it.
Turn the box around and open the backplate to access the panel.
To open the Organ Transport Box, turn the dial to ‘Hand’ and then push switch number 2 and 5 as shown in the image above. Push the dial on the right to the middle line. Once the box looks exactly as I’ve shown in the image above, turn the round dial again and bring it back to Auto. As soon as you do that the box will open and it has an artificial lung.
Now we need to go to the Storage Room to get the Artificial Heart, and this is where the Wrench we got earlier comes into play. It will be used to open the Cold Storage Door.
Take the heart and lung to the East Wing Examination Room. There is an Organless Corpse in the Examination Room. Kill the zombie doctor before putting the lung and heart inside the Organless Corpse. The body will get up and attack you, kill it to get the Security Level 2 ID Wristband from the corpse.
Security Level 2 Keycard will give you access to the Isolation Ward.
Inside the Isolation Ward there is the Security Managers Office. Enter the office to get the journal that gives the solution to the final Star door puzzle.

The puzzle box is inside the Security Manager’s Office as well. However, you can’t solve the puzzle without bringing Emily to the Security Manager’s Office. Take the Security Level 3 keycard from the manager’s body and make your way to Emily in the Medication Room.
Carry Emily back to the Security Manager’s Office and she will solve the final puzzle box for you. Inside you will find the Star Quartz.
