Glowfish is a rare catch in Starsand Island so naturally it is very hard to find. Goldfish spawn in specific biomes and the best time to catch it is during Autumn season at midnight between 00:00 – 02:00 in-game time.
There are two main locations where you can get Glowfish, below is everything you need to know on how and where to catch the rare Glowfish in Starsand Island.
Starsand Island Glowfish Location
Glowfish is found at two different areas of the Moonlit Forest. This is the same location where we mine Gold for the first time in Starsand Island. The first area is a waterfall between the Gate of Life and Dreamfall Garden.
There is a tiny pond here where the Glowfish spawns. You need a lot of bait for multiple attempts in hopes of catching a Glowfish here. I recommend using Bug Bait here.
The second location where you can catch Glowfish is a small pond near Darkwater Shore. There is plenty of fish here, the spawn rate for the Glowfish is low but every 10-12 catches you’ll end up getting Glowfish.
If you run out of fish without getting a Glowfish, come back later and the fish will respawn. Keep trying until you catch a Glowfish as it is quite a rare spawn.
You get access to the Moonlit Forest after beating the Crystalith boss and progressing through the next door in that area. Once inside the forest, visit any of the locations I shared in the images above after unlocking fishing.
Approach the body of water and cast the fishing line. Wait for the wish to take the bait and pull the line out to catch a fish, hopefully a Glowfish.
