Every now and them comes a great indie game that blows me away and Cairn is one of them. It is a game I’m going to 100% by getting all the trophies and achievements. Thankfully, most of the trophies in Cairn are easy to get so you should have no problem. However, some trophies are a bit complicated like “Lick Responsibly.”
To get this achievement you need to find the Frog Keepsake If you’re exploring the mountain in Cairn and want to unlock every collectible, the Frog Keepsake is a quirky but easy-to-miss item many players overlook.
The Frog Keepsake is a collectible item you can add to your backpack in Cairn, similar to the Small Windmill Keepsake. It’s tied to a hidden interaction rather than a visible pickup, which is why many of us miss it on our first climb.
Where to Find Frog Keepsake in Cairn
To get Frog Keepsake you need to doing the Standing Stones section of the mountain or inside most damp caves on the mountain. Here is the exact location of one of the caves where you can find the Frog Keepsake:
The cave is tucked behind a stone arch and is easy to walk past if you’re focused on climbing.
If you go deeper into the cave you can find a pond to fill up your water bottle. Near the pond you can pick up the frog or should I say lick the frog but do it responsibly. Depending on what platform you’re on, either press E on PC or X on the controller to interact with the frog.
After interacting with the frog, the Frog Keepsake is automatically added to your backpack, and you’ll also unlock the related achievement. What Happens When You Lick The Frog
When you lick the frog in Cairn your character gets high and starts seeing different colors. You will be able to see where all the grooves are and jutting stones which makes it easier to climb. A really useful ability but sadly you can’t take the frog with you and use it later.
However, you doo get keep the Frog Keepsake as a keychain to hang on your backpack. Open the backpack and scroll to the right to select the frog among your other keepsakes.
The Keepsakes don’t do anything special for you but getting them all helps unlock trophies and get you temporary buffs.
