In ReAnimal Masks are unique collectible items that are hidden in all the chapters. This wearable headpiece is not only for you, but your other companion can also equip these masks as well. There is total 18 masks that you will find in ReAnimal. The distribution of these masks in each chapter is random. Here’s distribution quantity for each chapter

All Mask Locations in REANIMAL
As the game story reveals in chapter so I have given all the location chapter wise.
Mask Locations in Chapter 1(Dead in the Water)
In chapter 1 you can get 2 masks without any pre-requisite but one mask is only unlocked after colleting all 5 statues in ReAnimal.
Mask Location #1 (Bird Head):
Once you enter in the building after passing through the sewer tunnels using the ladder. After entering the building, go left and around where there is a door at the end of the balcony. The Bird Head mask is located in a crate behind that door, which you can reach by passing through a crack in the wall to the other side.
Mask Location # 2 (Worm Head)
After solving the platform puzzle in chapter 1, you will enter a room of locker. Pass through a demolished wall that is behind the locker ahead of you. The path from the broken wall is not visible because of the camera view angle and low light. For clarity you can see the image below.
The hidden path will take you to a bathroom where the mask of worm head is lying under the sink.
Mask Location # 3( Triangle Head)
In the same chapter but now you are outside the sewer tunnels, before you head into the building through the train tracks go to the outside edge of the cliff to the right side of the entrance. Not just mask there are also three things that you can pick here
- Push the chair off the cliff to get Dark tourism trophy/achievement
- Sit on the chair to unlock resting leg location
- On the far end there is a poster that you can collect.
After collecting these now enter the building by following the train track you, there are two doors in the area the first door has poster location and the second one that is in the right corner hidden in darkness enter in that one.
Follow the path and you will be in an ammunition room where the Triangle shape mask is lying under the table.
Mask Locations in Chapter 2 (The Cleaning House)
Mask Location #4 (Pig Head)
In Chapter 2 you will enter a house with some mannequins in the middle of the room. Make your way from the crack through the wall to the left side of the room to pick up the fourth mask of a Pig Head in ReAnimal.
Mask Location # 5( Traffic Cone Head)
In chapter 4 there is a cinema, explore the cinema first to get critter and the crowbar now you will have access to a room that was unavailable before. From outside the cinema walk towards the camera to the right side and at the top of the little steps there is a small door.
Use your crowbar to get into a room with a sider that has a traffic cone on its head. Beat the spider by crowbar and it will be one of your five critters. After you defeat the spider, it will drop the cone and become a Mask.
Mask Locations in Chapter 3: After The Flood
There’s only mask available in this chapter in the bar area.
Mask Location #6 (After The Flood)
As you move to the next chapter 3 After the Flood and have access to a boat. After getting the harpoons and coffin you will reach a HOTEL. This you can’t miss because it’s part of the main story. As you progress you will reach an area by climbing up a long ladder up the hill into a field.
By staying on the left side there is a barn and in there is a scarecrow. Arm your crowbar and hit the scarecrow. By hitting the scarecrow, you will reveal second critter of the game.
Continue hitting it to unlock the critter and it will also drop the sixth mask of ReAnimal. In the same area there is a statue inside the barn as well.
Mask Locations in Chapter 4: No Shelter
You will get 3 mask in Chapter of ReAnimal. After your are dropped outside large building. Enter the building through the crack of large clock tower.
Mask Location #7 (Bucket Head)
Once you enter the building through the broken glass of large clock, you will end up in a room of some petrified statues, destroy these to unlock Scared to Dust trophy/Achievement. From this room crawl through the bookshelf n the right side of the room.
Once you enter in that room a creature will run away to the other room from where you came. Collect a poster from the room and head back where the statues are.
That creature is your third critter and also drop your 7th mask in ReAnimal. This will be the third and last critter so a trophy will unlock “Kill Every Critter”.
Mask Location #8 (Crown)
As story progress you will reach in a room where a king is sitting on a throne in the middle of the room. In this room you will be attacked, use crowbar to hit them. Your goal here is stop the king from fleeing. To do that head behind back corner of the room so that when the kind try to run away hit him and he” drop a mask.
Long Live the King Trophy/Achievement Unlocked after collecting the mask from king
Mask Location #9 (Potato Head)
To get the potato mask follow the main story where you reach room with tall stacked shelfs. After having a small fight, you will be able to escape through a small crack in wall and end up in an alley.
Instead of going straight ahead head towards the camera and there is a hidden area behind the broken wooden pylons. On the other side there are some potatoes on the floor. Yank at those potatoes and then interact with them again to get the Potato Mask.
Mask Locations in Chapter 6: Nobody Left Behind
Chapter 6 in ReAnimal is a bit thorough and time taking, that’s one of the reasons that you will get 4 masks from this chapter.
Mask Location #10
Once you are outside the generator room make sure to turn on the generator and thrown the box off the cliff that is necessary for the later part in the game
To go outside of the generator room there is a small puzzle you need to solve to get out and beat the critter near the shore to the 10th mask.
How to Solve generator room puzzle in ReANimal?
The secret bunker code is as follows to open the generator room door:
“Middle Bottom Bottom Middle”
Don’t forget to push the box down when you were outside the generator room, otherwise there won’t be a critter leading to no mask.
Mask Location #11
After getting the boat and following the normal storyline you are supposed to land near the big boat but instead head right from the giant boat where you will find one more mine blocking the path. Blast the mine to make way through it. Continue to your left where you can set a foot on a small land with some abandoned containers.
Mask Location #12 & 13
As part of main story after escaping from a monster and exploding mines you will eventually wake up a giant whale from sleep. After the cutscene when you regain control there are two unique masks lying on the ground.
Mask Locations in Chapter 7: The Spoils
In Chapter 7 you will get 4 mask one is only available if you get all the statues in a single walkthrough.
Mask Location #14
The first mask in chapter 7 is right after the cutscene where chapter starts. Turn right there is a hidden door in the darkness, interact with it and you will get mask #14 in ReANimal.
Mask Location #15 (Mine Head)
After collecting mask #14, you will be walking through trenches. Once you reach around a corner look to your right side to open a secret door.
Mask Location #16
Continue forward in the trenches after collecting the mask and you will get a lamb mask. The Pre-requisite for this is that you should have collected all 5 statues to get this one. Once you have collected all 5 statues there will be a secret path in the wall where you will get mask #16 in ReAnimal.
Mask Location #17 (Frog Head)
After being chase down into a room and moving down using a ladder you will end up in a hallway past a locked door that need bolt cutters. Head right towards the operating room where you will get bolt cutters as well. But before you do that there is a small space under the table through which you can crawl to the other side.
Mask Locations in Chapter 8: The Watcher
The last mask is in the room next to hanging soldier from where you get the key. Us that key to open the door to your right. In that room look for a dishwasher, open it using crowbar.
A critter will run behind you into the room from where you came. Normally crowbar can beat these critters, but this one is fast so try the gun that you pick from the ground.
