Next God of War Announcement Could Happen By Late Summer, Voice Actor Hints (Update)

Update: Judge has come forward to share the following statement after seemingly leaking God of War 6:

Sony Santa Monica’s next big project, possibly God of War 6 (Egypt), is slated reveal in late Summer 2026, according to Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge. Speaking at a recent convention, Judge revealed that TC Carson, the original voice for Kratos, will be the voice of the Ghost of Sparta in the remakes, and he won’t be part of the remakes at all.

Judge also confirmed that the remakes will have new gameplay systems, new fight systems, and new content. However, during his conversation he let slip that the next big Sony Santa Monica project, rumored to be a God of War game set in Egypt, is getting an announcement in late Summer.

You’ll know what we’re doing by the end of the summer – Judge

Many reports and insider leaks suggest the next God of War title may shift from Norse mythology into ancient Egyptian mythology. Christopher Judge, who voices Kratos, has publicly said he would like the next game to take place in Egypt due to his own connections to the mythology, though he also stresses nothing has been confirmed.

But not all rumors point to Egypt, some say the next God of War game is going to Greece or may be to a different mythology entirely. A lot of speculation and rumors around the next Santa Monica project but it looks like we will get confirmation by the end of Summer.

Do you think God of War 6 is going to Egypt?
